Adjectives – Not As---As

 

You can also say that something is “not as [adjective] as” something else. This is the opposite of “more [adjective].”

 

  • The elephant is bigger than the mouse.
    • The mouse is not as big as the elephant.

 

  • Your test score is better than mine.
    • My test score is not as good as yours.

 

Use “not as [adjective] as” to rewrite the following sentences:

 

 

1. John is taller than Stu.

 

________________________________________________________

 

2. China is bigger than Taiwan.

 

________________________________________________________

 

3. Randy’s cell phone is newer than mine.

 

________________________________________________________

 

4. I think that history is more interesting than science.

 

________________________________________________________

 

5. Black and white movies are worse than color movies.

 

________________________________________________________

 

6. Apples are healthier than candy.

 

________________________________________________________

 

7. Dogs are noisier than cats.
