ESL Conversation and Dialogues

Intermediate Dialogue: Two Muffins

Two Muffins

Ah, ha ha ha!

What’s so funny, Phil? Why are you laughing?

I just heard the funniest joke I’ve ever heard! Ha ha ha!

Tell me!

Okay.

Two muffins were baking in an oven.

One muffin looked at the other muffin and said, “Hey man, is it getting hot in here?”

And the other muffin said, “Ahhhhh! You can talk!”

Ha. . . That’s the dumbest joke I’ve ever heard. You have a strange sense of humor.

If it’s so stupid, then why did you chuckle?

·        What do you bake in an oven?

·        When do people chuckle?

·        Do you think that joke is funny? On a scale of 1-10 (1=not funny; 10=very funny), how funny is that joke?

Now, think of one of your favorite jokes. Write it below (in English) and then tell it to the class.
